Maggie Grace is an American actress born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character in ABC's Lost series and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace, originally from Worthington from Ohio left high school, and relocating in Los Angeles after her divorced parents. The actress landed her first part in the film, Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001 despite struggling in the financial department. In 2002, she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her role as 15-year old murdered Martha Moxley. In 2004, Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost in which she was a main cast member for the first two seasons winning a Screen Actors Guild Award shared by the entire cast. Grace, who had worked together with Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, was looking to go into film. She appeared on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice In Malice in Wonderland a modern version of Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was Shannon once more in the show's finale and in two additional episodes. The year 2013 saw Grace appear in Californianation, the 6th Season. She portrays Faith as a groupie as well as a model for the stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She's the daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), as well as more senior that Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began as a teenager with small appearances in her father's films and appeared with her brother in the popular cult film Donnie Darko (2001). Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performance in the erotic romantic comedy Secretary (2002) as well as the dramatic Sherrybaby (2006) both of which earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination. She gained wider recognition when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercials she appeared in the year the year 2006. Gyllenhaal wrote and directed her first feature film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The thriller that dealt with psychological issues was awarded the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. The Lost Daughter was also nominated for the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
